Our Farm

To farm is being a caretaker, with a commitment of the heart to nurture the land that provide for the domestic animals’ comfort and protections from predators. We are a regenerative farm, which is a vital journey of healing by building healthy soils, without pesticides, insecticides, and commercial fertilizers. We are a work in progress, learning about sustainable farming practices by better management of forested and open grasslands. Since 2017 we have selectively logged to lessen insect manifestations and be more resistant to disease. It also reduces the fire danger, predator cover, and stimulates grass growth to create more grazing, which is the best method to build soil. By effectively managed grazing we are trying to increase soil fertility, water holding capacity and better nutrition, thus creating a healthy environment for domestic animals and wildlife.
